What is the Best Portable GPS?
Well back by popular demand is my section on “answering any questions you may have for me.” I get asked all the time which is the best portable gps out in the market today? Can it be the Tom Tom, the Magellan, the Garmin?
I have personally tested a number of these units myself, not all, LOL, but a number of them.
Based on my personal test and that which I have read the best portable gps unit out on the market today would have to be the Garmin Nuvi.

Another nice feature in the Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT is it’s Lane Assist feature. The Lane assist feature advises you which lane to be in (and which not to be in) when approaching an intersection. This puts you in the right lane to avoid having to make a sudden lane change on a busy interstate/expressway.
The Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT also displays the speed limit AND your actual speed which is a very nice feature when you are on a road which has no spped limit signs on them.

A very nice feature of the Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT is the auto time feature. The Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT actually pulls the times from the satellites- this mean you don’t need to update the time on your Garmin Nuvi 1450LMT when you cross into another time zone.

This is the perfect GPS. Its 5″ portable (rechargeable battery inside). Sound is nice, clear and loud. The traffic monitoring thru car charger does have ads (but again it is free). GPS is accurate and the millions of points of interest where you can also search by name is amazing…

All in all The 265WT is (literally) THE way to go! It’s an easy-to-use GPS. It has voice turn-by-turn instructions (including street names), free FM traffic for life!, and hands-free Bluetooth capability. The graphics are great too. The antenna is built in and very sensitive.
The FM traffic is a great feature, and unlike other models, it’s free for life with the 265WT. While commuting, you can easily see where traffic is congested or stopped, and the Nuvi 265WT will route you around the traffic. For the price, the Nuvi 265WT is a great value considering the advanced functionality.

This is a great product. It’s easy on the eyes. The Map update was easy as 123. I love the Bluetooth feature the most since I do allot of driving. Can’t say enough.
